For our readers still wondering what they want to do in life, doubting what they're doing, or just looking for something new - this post is for you!
I have always stood by the concept "your first job is not your last job", which has grown into "this job isn't your last job unless you want it to be". In my personal experience, I have been with the same company since I finished high school. I have gone from part time to full time, and have change roles. I am also appreciative of the fact that my employer has allowed me to take on a lot of leadership roles for strategic advancement of the company. However, as I'm pursuing my MBA, along with other side pursuits, I still think about the possibilities of change in the future. Whether it is to move somewhere else or to grow in my current job, I keep sight of the options. Who knows, it's even possible that side projects I work on could become my main focus. |
This is more of an opinion/discussion piece, but also a piece of advice: always be open to change and always look for something you want to do. Give yourself options! Give yourself chances! If you enjoy what you're doing, you are most likely to do better! |
